Certified Angus Beef Sells Well & Feeder Cattle Sales

Certified Angus Beef Continues It’s Hot Streak

Sales remain strong for Certified Angus Beef (CAB), including with international customers. According to a report from Angus Journal, exports of CAB products are up 7.5% year over year, while overall beef exports are down 2% this year. That follows news of positive domestic growth, with 415 million CAB pounds to foodservice and 500 million pounds to retail. Canada, Mexico, South Korea and Japan, the Angus Journal noted, have been particularly strong markets for CAB products. Sales have also been robust in the Middle East markets of Kuwait, Qatar, the UAE and Oman, with sales up 80% from October 2023 through May 2024. Jones noted that 30% of all U.S. beef to the region is now CAB product.
